Working Principle of BOPP Tape Coating Machine
1. Adhesive Supply: The coating machine provides adhesive through the supply system. The adhesive is stored in a heated tank to maintain its desired viscosity, ensuring smooth application.
2. Coating System: The BOPP film is fed into the coating machine, and the adhesive is applied to one side of the film using a coating system. The coating head or roller ensures that the adhesive is applied uniformly to the entire width of the film.
3. Drying or Curing: Once the adhesive is applied, the film passes through a drying or curing unit.
4. Cooling and Rewinding: After drying, the coated BOPP film passes through a cooling section to ensure the adhesive solidifies properly and does not soften during the rewinding process.
5. Control System: The entire process is controlled by PLC and a touchscreen interface, which allows operators to monitor and adjust parameters such as speed, tension, etc.
Types of Adhesives Used
1. Acrylic Adhesives: Commonly used for their clarity, UV resistance, and good adhesion properties.
2. Rubber-based Adhesives: Often used for general-purpose tapes, offering strong adhesion.
3. Hot Melt Adhesives: Used for high-temperature resistance applications.
